“Christmas in July” with and Reprsenative Angela Moore and Mrs. Granny Claus, the beloved storyteller and advocate for children, is excited to announce the upcoming Free Children’s Concert in the Park event.
With her warm and enchanting presence, Mrs. Granny Claus will be spreading joy and wisdom to families attending this delightful celebration on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Panola Mountain State Park in Stockbridge, Georgia.
The event promises to be a memorable day filled with music, food, fun, and family. Children and parents alike will enjoy the lively atmosphere with popsicles, face painting, and exciting activities for all ages. The event offers a unique opportunity to experience the enchantment of Christmas in the summertime, fostering a sense of togetherness and holiday cheer.
Mrs. Granny Claus, also known as Oretha Mobley, has been captivating audiences with her storytelling prowess for years. As a mother, grandmother, and wife, she understands the importance of imparting wisdom and love to the younger generation. Through her company Granny Goodness, Mrs. Granny Claus provides entertainment, storytelling, puppet shows, mentoring, and educational workshops for children, fostering their growth and development in a nurturing environment.
The event coincides with the release of Mrs. Granny Claus’s enchanting book, “Mrs. Granny Claus and the Christmas Cheer Cookies.” This heartwarming tale follows Mrs. Granny Claus as she faces a moment of forgetfulness when she loses Santa’s favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. Singing her favorite baking song, “Let’s Make Cookies for Santa Claus,” Mrs. Granny Claus embarks on a charming adventure to ensure that Santa has his cookies on Christmas Eve.
